Winner "Naked Tracks" Rory de Kievit at Steve Vai Festival Oosterpoort

Rory de Kievit, who's a regular guest in my Dutch band, took part in the Steve Vai Naked Tracks Contest in The Netherlands.
He turned out to be one of the six finalists to play their version of a Steve Vai composition on October 20th in venue De Oosterpoort in Groningen for an audience and a jury.
The jury consisted of Marcel Mandos (artistic director of Noord Nederlands Orchestra), Michiel Roelse (editor of guitar magazine De Gitarist), Co de Kloet of NTR and Steve Vai himself! After a blistering final the jury announced Rory, who did a brilliant performance of Steve Vai's The Crying Machine, the winner of the contest.
